Season 4 Weeks 1-4 Frontline Report

Greetings, Commanders!

As we are heading into Round 5 of Red Alert Global League carnage, here is some breakdown regarding players’ performance across divisions.

Masters

FiveAces got a clean 1st place after 4 rounds, as everyone else has lost at least some points in his games. He’s certainly back in form to contest the title again after disappointing 5th place in Season 3. That’s not going to be easy for sure, because such contenders as  LorryDriver, Barf, Gatekeeper and Smitty haven’t yet battled him.

Minions

Omnom, Happy, SoScared and Doomsday are all going strong with 100% win ratio and are likely a shoe in for playoff spots. Raishiwi is however breathing down their backs 2 points lost to NoobMapMaker and Mentats, and Medium Tank is still a possible threat even with a strike and 1 point loss.

Sadly WhoCares asked for a Season Forfeit due to personal reasons. This will surely diminish the division matchup quality as WhoCares is known to spring some surprises for his opponents.

Recruits Alpha

Race for  first place intensifies as Sotsch loses points to Lord of War, Jvk is still at 100% and Unano following them with a sole 0-2 loss to Jvk. They all have yet to catch up Abarrat who played most of his matches ahead of schedule and got the early lead.

Recruits Bravo

Eloyros arose as an unexpected (mostly by him self) top4 candidate with a firm performance against mechANIC, who is still considered as a favourite to get onto Hidden Path. 3.Lucian loses points to mechANIC in a likely battle for 1st in this division.

Recruits Charlie

eskimo solidifies his 1st place with a 2-0 win against Anykeyich. Battle for promotion spots is far from over however, with WaRRyKeR, xy, wippie, Anykeyich, netnazgul and Tailix Killa Mentor all having chances depending on their performance in the latter stages of the season.

Recruits Delta

Kazu exploded the Recruits Delta division by replacing disqualified Rohkye and quickly gaining the top spot by getting solid wins in 3 of his starter matches including a then division leader Chewey. Still this division lost a fair share of contenders due to season forfeits (especially Shpooky who had a promising start).

Round 5: matches to watch for

We have now the last week before in-season break (which could also introduce a new OpenRA release), so all players will be especially motivated to finish first half of the season on a higher note. Several matches can be pinpointed:

  • Smitty/Orb: both players have lost some points in previous games so both of them have something to prove in this division. This game could have a deciding value of either of them finishing in the Top Four.
  • Medium Tank/SoScared: both of them being Masters players before long, MT and SoScared of course have abilities to get back to the top tier. This match will probably show who has the best chances for that.
  •  Raishiwi/Happy: another interesting Minions matchup; Happy is considered a hot favorite for 1st, but Raishiwi has all it needs to steal some points.
  • Eloyros/3.Lucian, mechANIC/bullE: Recruits Bravo top four promotion contenders fight against each other in this round. Match results will likely clarify the disposition in this division.
  • xy/Anykeyich, netnazgul/wippie: another pack of battles for promotion spots in Recruits Charlie.

Stay tuned for more information and don’t miss your games!
