Season 4 Week 6
This week turned out rather poor on matches, at least in the beginning. Probably most of the players didn’t switch on after the rest week and were still in standby mode, sipping cocktails on the stormy autumn beaches and enjoying life.
Nevertheless we still got some share of exciting matches worth looking at.
Delayed Minions division matchup from Round 3 was quite an entertaining venue during the otherwise uneventful league week.
First game on Sidestep didn’t produce any action for first 5 minutes whatsoever. Everything changed when Doomsday opted for all-in T2 soviet rush complementing it with pushing his only MCV to T’s main base. This proved to be a decisive winning move as T didn’t have anything to counter that.
Second game on Agenda was quite another beast, at least if comparing the duration. This time T got on the offensive popping up 3 barracks before service depot while Doomsday went for double MCV right after the batch of harvesters. One of those went to backward expansions while the other was used to take bottom center patch and move further for a basepush attempt. To Doomsday‘s unluck, T placed his Radar Dome right where the MCV went, spotting the menace early and quickly dismantling it before it could do any damage. Being on disadvantage, Doomsday still managed to withstand the pressure in the center by moving up his main MCV and deleting the incoming forces. At the same time Doomsday went to grab the top middle patch, making T face an economy denial.
T had some success at clawing the top territory back, while also making a paradrop which worked marvelously destroying 3 harvesters and almost taking down the Radar Dome in the back, finishing it off with a yak snipe.
All this dragged on for 15 more minutes of exciting soviet play where the advantage swinged either way several times. I won’t even say whose swing was the last one :P
PS: Such endangered species as a ranked-up Mig is seen in the second game too.
Raishiwi/SoScared: yet out-of-form SoScared is still SoScared to be feared. But then again, multi-WF rush early in the game is not viable.
3.Lucian/Craig Christ: CC’s macro domination in both games, complemented by a nice spy/hind combo to kill a soon-to-be-fired nuclear silo.
Well, we’ve got even more delayed matches that are already mentioned in previous reports. Anyway, League comes to its latter stages, where every point counts.
Masters division will see a lot of top4 deciders these weeks, GateKeeper/Smitty and Orb/Barf being some of them during Round 7. Top derby match is also expected in Minions where Happy and SoScared should play their match.
In Recruits Alpha, Abarrat almost sealed his promotion place as Bamsi and Lord of War are now required to win 7 and 6 out of their 8 remaining games respectively to jump him, as well as getting good results against Jvk, Unano and Sotch. Sotch/Bamsi and Lord of War/Unano could already seal the fate of the disposition in that group.
Rectuits Bravo has everything far from over with 7 players still aiming at promotion spots. Craig Christ/NethIafin and 3.Lucian/BullE are to be observed closely.
Nothing has changed in the Recruits Charlie division this week, and highlighted matches from previous rounds were further delayed. Anykeyich/Tailix Killa Mentor is added to that list this round.
Finally, Recruits Bravo will see a clash between the players now residing at top 6 spots. We are yet to see more from Digital Jihad as he has only played one match during the first half of the League.
Great thx for the news, a pleasure to read every week.
